Product Introduction
Nickel Titanium Alloy Plate is mainly composed of nickel (Ni) and titanium (Ti). The proportion of these two elements determines many of its properties. The typical nickel content usually ranges from around 45% to 55%.
Physical Properties:
- Density: The density of Nickel Titanium Alloy Plateis generally around 6.4 - 6.5 g/cm³.
- Melting Point: It has a relatively high melting point, usually above 1200 - 1300°C.
- Thermal Conductivity: Its thermal conductivity is relatively low, which means it doesn't conduct heat as quickly as some other metals.
Mechanical property:
- Shape Memory effect: One of the most striking features is the shape memory effect. It deforms below a certain temperature (martensitic transition temperature), and its original shape can be restored by heating above this critical temperature.
- Superelasticity: It also shows superelasticity. It can withstand large deformation (up to 8-10% strain) and still return to its original shape when external forces are eliminated without permanent deformation.
