Advantage

The main advantages of nickel titanium wire (nickel titanium alloy wire) lie in its shape memory effect (deformation at low temperatures, restoration of preset shape after heating), superelasticity (elastic deformation far exceeding that of ordinary metals under external forces, fully restored after unloading), and biocompatibility.

1. Unique shape memory effect: achieves precise deformation and automated control: can bend and deform freely at low temperatures (such as pressing into fine wires, bending into specific arcs). When the temperature rises to the "trigger temperature" (adjustable by alloy composition, usually 30 ℃ -150 ℃), it can accurately restore to the original shape preset before leaving the factory, and the deformation repeatability is greater than 99%.

2. Excellent super elasticity: improves product durability and adaptability. When subjected to external forces, it can produce 10% - 15% elastic deformation (ordinary steel wire only has 1% - 2%), fully recover instantly after unloading, and undergo repeated deformation (such as bending and stretching) for more than 100000 times without fatigue fracture, with stable elastic modulus.

3. Excellent biocompatibility: Nickel titanium alloy is non-toxic and non allergenic in the human body, and does not cause adverse reactions with blood or tissues. It complies with ASTM F2063 (Nickel Titanium Medical Device Standard).

4. Excellent environmental resistance:1mm nitinol wire adapts to complex working conditions and reduces maintenance costs.

Corrosion resistance: In humid, acidic and alkaline environments (such as human body fluids, industrial wastewater, marine atmosphere), a dense oxide film (TiO_₂) will form on the surface, and the corrosion resistance is better than that of 304 stainless steel.

High temperature resistance: Ordinary nickel titanium wire can maintain stable performance in the range of -50 ℃ - 300 ℃.

5. High precision and controllability: meet customized needs and enhance product competitiveness. By adjusting the composition ratio of nickel (Ni) and titanium (Ti) (usually with a Ni content of 49% - 51%), or adding trace alloying elements (such as copper and iron), the "trigger temperature" of shape memory can be accurately controlled within ±2 ℃ range (such as 37 ℃ ± 2 ℃ for medical use and 80 ℃ ± 2 ℃ for industrial use). It can be processed into extremely fine specifications (with a minimum diameter of 0.005mm, equivalent to 1/10 of a human hair), and can be formed into complex structures such as "bundles, spiral tubes, and woven nets" through weaving, twisting, and winding, suitable for small spaces.

6. Lightweight and low fatigue: Balancing performance and cost, extending product life, Nitinol with a density of about 6.45g/cm^³, only 82% of steel (7.85g/cm^³), and 28% lighter than copper (8.96g/cm^³). In weight sensitive environments such as aerospace and wearable devices, it can reduce the overall weight of the product. Under repeated deformation conditions such as vibration and bending, the fatigue life of ordinary steel wire is 5-10 times longer, reducing after-sales costs caused by component fatigue failure.
